McCloskey Special Effects Textured Lime Wash is one of the
very easiest of faux finishing techniques. Textured Lime Wash adds an old world
charm to painted walls or textured surfaces such as brick or stucco. Use it
alone or with a color glaze for a subtly textured fresco finish. Use the color
washing brush for a calming effect or add more texture by Using a natural sea
sponge along with Sand Tones or Suede
Impressionswith the Textured Lime Wash. Materials and Tools you will need include:
- McCloskey Special Effects Base Coat
- McCloskey Special Effects Translucent Glaze
- Paint Roller with 3/8" nap for applying Base Coat color
- Color Washing Brush
- Cheesecloth
- Painter's Tape and Drop Cloth
- McCloskey Special Effects Lime Wash
- Natural Sea Sponge
- Texture Roller cover and Trowel

These color samples show the base coat color in the
upper left hand corner. The left side of the sample shows the base coat
with McCloskey's Lime Wash Finish. The right side adds an optional color
wash of Translucent Color Glaze over the Lime Wash effect. Expected coverage
rate of Textured Lime Wash is 125 square feet per gallon
