O-Gee Paint

Benjamin Moore’s waterborne tinting technology is the foundation to their newest lines of paints. Topping this list is NATURA a V.O.C. free paint that keeps it’s 0% rating even in the deepest of colors. Previous tinting systems added V.O.C. compounds to the paint along with the tint when making colors. Light color didn’t add enough solvent to be perceptible but with darker colors they became apparent.

Natura is available in quarts and gallons Sheens include flat, eggshell and semi-gloss. Natura Primer is made to prepare interior new surfaces such as drywall without adding V.O.Cs found in other primers.

BLISTERING: Bubbles resulting from localized loss of adhesion and lifting of the paint film from the underlying surface

POSSIBLE CAUSE:
- Painting a warm surface in direct sunlight.
- Application of oil based or alkyd paint over a damp or wet surface.
- Exposure of latex paint film to dew, high humidity, or rain shortly after paint has dried, especially if there was inadequate surface preparation.

REMEDIES:
- If blisters go down to the substrate, locate and remove the source of moisture, i.e. ventilation, repair and replace loose caulking.
Remove blisters.
- If blisters do not go all the way down to the substrate, remove them by scraping. then sanding; prime any bare wood and repaint with a quality latex exterior paint.
